The region in Carcans-Maubuisson

Camping de Maubuisson is located in the heart of the charming seaside resort of Carcans-Maubuisson. A town located on the Aquitaine coast 50km north-west of the Bordeaux agglomeration, between the Pointe de Grave and the Bassin d ‘Arcachon. It is part of what it is agreed to call the Medoc peninsula classified in May 2019 Regional Natural Park of Medoc

Our beautiful region is full of varied landscapes between vineyards, forests, sand dunes and bodies of water (lakes, ocean and estuary of the Gironde) but also typical architecture (Medoc castle, church, seaside villas, oyster ports, facades and monuments of Bordeaux etc…). It is also renowned for its gastronomy accompanied by a Bordeaux wine (in moderation): Médoc granary, cannelés, oysters, prawns, entrecote, etc …

During your stay at the Campsite, take the time to explore and taste our multifaceted Region:

  • 30 min: discover the Médoc Vineyards from the smallest to the largest Château you will not be disappointed.
  • At 1 am: take the boat and climb the 301 steps of Cordouan Lighthouse
  • At around 1 hour: The city of Bordeaux is a must-see during your stay at the Campsite. Stroll through its streets a multitude of curiosities are available to you. The stroll along the quays is worth the detour to admire its facades classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site: www.bordeaux.fr
  • At 1:30 am: Climb to the top of the highest dune in Europe, the famous Dune du Pilat, to admire a unique panorama of the Arcachon Basin!
  • At 1:30 am The vineyards and the town of St-Emilion are waiting for you.

Without forgetting the oyster ports of the Médoc and the Arcachon Basin, the Bastides etc …

Due to its geographical location, the Maubuisson campsite is less than 2 hours from all the sights of the Gironde.
